Le Règlement européen (2015/751) relatif aux commissions d’interchange pour les opérations de paiement liées à une carte va avoir un impact considérable sur le fonctionnement actuel du paiement par carte bancaire, que ce soit du point de vue des commerçants (on/off line) ou de celui des consommateurs.
Au-delà du sujet bien connu de la régulation des commissions d’interchange pour les cartes de particuliers et les cartes prépayées, le Règlement va notamment permettre aux commerçants d’avoir une meilleure information sur les tarifs, par marque et par catégorie de cartes. Le commerçant devra également permettre le choix de la marque par le consommateur (si ce dernier le souhaite), et pourra désormais accepter seulement certaines catégories de cartes. Autant de changements potentiels dans les parcours clients, et de nouveaux challenges pour les banques et les systèmes de paiement en général.
